For large sewing, cutting, or craft projects, the Roberts Cutting and Craft Table provides a spacious work surface covered with a mar-resistant laminate. The leaves are sturdily supported on all four corners by extendable legs with mobile caster feet. Rolling casters provide easy mobility and are equipped with stability locks to keep the table steady while you work. The most frustrating thing about this table was the assembly instructions - not that I couldn't understand them, but that I couldn't READ them! The photocopy was so poor (light) that 1/2 of the pages were unreadable. The Roberts Web site did not offer a downloadable copy of the instructions either (boo, hiss). So I had to put it together "blind," using a lot of guesswork and trial and error. But I did it! I'm a woman, not terribly handy, and it took me 3 hrs.
Having said that, now that I have used it to cut fabric for Roman blinds, it was a complete lifesaver and backsaver. It's the perfect size for me, is very sturdy, and I love that it folds up very small. I wish I would have had this table 10 yrs ago!

This product was given to me as a present from someone who new I needed a better "cutting table" as I am starting a small clothing company. Unfortunately, the table is mis-named as such. A good cutting table has 3 features: It is 42 inches high, has square corners, and is stable. This table, at 34.5", is too short for spending 8 hours at, the rounded corners do not allow for grain squaring, and, even though the wheels lock, it is not rigid and wobbles.
This particular table is far better suited for the tratitional home-sewer, hobby quilter, and crafts-person. For a designer trying to start a clothing line, it provides a headache with assembly, and a back-ache trying to work at it. Carefully consider the uses before purchasing; I'm sure it is great for people who want to put away their sewing when the day is done, as it folds up and wheels away quite nicely. For me, who's entire livelihood is creating clothing, it is just not very useful.

I wish I had read the width, I should have bought the 72 inch table that was 40 inches wide, the one I bought is only 32 inches wide. Grrrrrrr. Will be sure to read all next time. It is a nice table and very sturdy. I used it for the first time today and it's a good height.

Had a little difficulty putting it together but all in all went well. A few pre drilled holes were not deep enough or big enough for the screws. Had my son go over it, to make sure the screws were all tight. It's very sturdy and easy to move around for storage. Since space is an issue for me, I like the rounded corners for safety in moving around the table.
