This was purchased for my wife and I knew before the purchase whose job it was to put it together. It is heavy when shipped and arrived in three boxes. Whoever designed the packing is a genius. The directions are great and assembly is relatively simple if you are used to doing things around the house. But it is time consuming and did take three to four hours to put together. Please understand, I do count all the parts before I begin and do read the directions so as not to screw up and have to do it a second time. In fact I was so please with the product, product packing, and the directions that I called Arrow just to say thanks for a put together project that was just as advertised.

This cost a lot, but in photos it looked like it was worth the money. It was so difficult to assemble that we had to pay $100 to an employee at a local sewing shop to put it together on his own time. It's cheaply made. The sewing machine lift is really hard to move. The drawer sticks. The plastic thread holders on the inside of the left door are too shallow to hold anything without it falling out when the door is opened or closed. The magnets to keep the doors closed are not aligned properly with the doors. I don't have a serger, but thought the extra space would still come in handy. It doesn't -- it's only useful for a serger, because of the way the unit is designed. There is a little extra flap at the back, but it's on the right-hand side of the cabinet, which is of no use at all to hold the bulk of a quilt (or anything else), because it's on the opposite side of the sewing machine space. Had I seen this in person, I would have used our nearly [$] toward something sturdier and more useful.

Cabinet gives sewing and serger machines a permanent place. Don't have to put machine away can sit down and sew when I have a few minutes. It took me awhile to put it together but I am by my self.

Comments about Arrow Betty Sewing Cabinet:

I needed a cabinet that looked nice and fit into my home decor. This cabinet meets my needs. The best part is I can now sew at a moments notice. It only takes moments to get it up and ready to use. I love it and have waited years to get this lovely cabinet. I am not real handy and I needed help putting it together.[...]

Comments about Arrow Betty Sewing Cabinet:

I just got this assembled. It was quite a process. The Arrow company should take a directions class from[...]!!! What a nightmare. It took quite a bit of imagination and perserverance to get it done. BUT... now I'm excited to start sewing in an organized and efficient way. I did forget to order an insert for my specific sewing machine and I don't see that listed in the accessories. I'll have to call and find out how to do that. Overall, I'm excited to have the new table up and mostly working. [...]

Comments about Arrow Betty Sewing Cabinet:

Having always sewed, I have just moved into a new home and needed something just like this to make my "crafts" room just right. Mostly likely it will always stay open, yet the compactability is still a desired treat. Swinging from sewing machine to serger and back again is a great tool for my newest hobby, quilting minature quilts. Also will be great for completing complex clothing projects.
